ARTIST BIO

A Washington, DC Native and  Visual Artist Painting full time since 2010 but began creating visual works in 2004.  I began creatively as a poet. I could feel the movement of words moving through me and my fingertips would tingle and I had a lined paper fetish. All I did was write and it saved my life.

During college, something changed and I stopped writing not realizing I shelved my journals. I started working and found myself carrying a drawing book. When I wasn't busy I'd stand (on duty) and draw and it helped the hours pass.

I am inspired by my unique perspective of life and shapes. I am driven by a divine presence in my life and art gives me purpose and a reason to breathe.
