BIO
Kinsey Lane graduated from Texas A&M in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Visualization. Kinsey was awarded "Best Portfolio" prior to graduating. Kinsey then went on to study Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on integrating digital techniques into the traditional art classroom. She graduated with her Masters in Education in 2016. Kinsey now teaches digital art and sculpture at the high school level. Kinsey lives in Houston, Texas with her husband Jesse, also a professional colored pencil artist and their two whippets.
STATEMENT
To Kinsey art is about expression. She enjoys capturing the whimsical nature of animals - not just their beauty. Her pieces are often full of energetic colors to convey an enchanting quality to the viewer. She strives to convey the emotions of animals in her pieces and uses vivid color to enhance these emotions.
