Artist's Bio

Milton Ayala is best known for his abstract pastel works that are compared to the vejigantes “Monsters” of Puerto Rico, “people see different things in my works, “he has said. “Is not intentional work, but I’m flattered and proud that some of my art is compared to the giants of my homeland.” With its emphasis on faces, his work has been described as a kind of dimensional abstract expressionist painting. While his breakthrough work dates are recent, he has become one of the top emerging artists.

 

Statement

Somehow, some way I tap in, tune in, turn on the pastels, the brushes, any medium I choose to work with becomes alive. I notice only after I’m done that it looks like something.
