Group Artist Talk & Gallery Tour via Zoom: Saturday, August 16th

In a world of constant flux and unpredictability, artists have always played a crucial role in illuminating the enduring presence of beauty. This exhibition invites photographers from around the world to contribute works that explore, challenge, and celebrate the concept of beauty emerging from or persisting through uncertain times.

Exhibition Format

This is a 3D digital gallery international show, making it accessible to artists from all countries, engendering cross-cultural appreciation, and facilitating international friendship. The digital format allows for a truly global representation of artistic voices and perspectives, transcending geographical boundaries.

Theme

Our international art exhibition seeks to capture moments of grace, resilience, and wonder amidst chaos, change, or adversity. We encourage artists to interpret this theme broadly, considering both personal and collective experiences of uncertainty and the beauty that can be found within or despite them.

Media

Photography: Analog or digital photography

Photography Submission Guidelines

We welcome innovative and thought-provoking photographic works that explore our theme of beauty in uncertain times. Our definition of photography for this exhibition is as follows:

  1. Core Requirement: All submissions must originate from an actual photograph captured by the artist using a camera (digital or analog).

  2. Creative Enhancements: We encourage the use of editing software to enhance, manipulate, or transform your original photograph. This may include, but is not limited to:

    • Adjustments to color, contrast, and exposure

    • Compositing multiple photographs

    • Adding or removing elements

    • Applying digital filters or effects

    • Creating surreal or abstract interpretations of the original image

  3. Maintaining Photographic Integrity: While we embrace creative editing, the final work should still be recognizably photographic in nature. The original photograph should remain a significant element of the final piece.

  4. Exclusions: Fully computer-generated images or digital paintings created without a photographic base are not eligible for the photography category. These may be submitted under different categories if applicable.

  5. Technical Requirements: Submit your final work as a high-resolution digital file size 1MB-8MB. Include a brief description (100-150 words) of your creative process, including any significant editing techniques used.

Guidelines for Artists

  • Submissions should reflect on the theme of beauty found in, emerging from, or persisting through uncertain or challenging times. Be prepared to include a blurb, a sentence or two, about each piece. Portions of your narrative will be included in your personalized video perk.

  • Works should strive to evoke emotion, provoke thought, or offer new perspectives on the interplay between beauty and uncertainty, (i.e., beauty amid chaos, radiance in shadows, glimpses of wonder, etc.)

  • Artists are invited to include a brief statement (100-150 words) explaining their interpretation of the theme and how it relates to their work.

  • Artists ages 18 years and older, from any country in the world may apply.

  • Artwork must be kid-friendly. No explicit sexual imagery will be selected.

  • The artwork submitted by the artists may be used for further marketing, publications, or exhibitions. By submitting artworks, the artists agree to grant the Organizers limited Use Rights.  Read the Use Rights Agreement Here.

  • All submitted artworks may not be selected.  Entry fees are non-refundable.

Submission Fees

We have structured our fees to encourage multiple submissions while keeping the exhibition accessible:

  • $35 for the first work of art

  • $25 each for up to four additional works

This fee structure allows artists to submit between one to five pieces, providing a range of work for consideration.
