Linda Lowery

For over20 years my husband and I have vacationed on Hatteras Island in the outer banks of North Carolina in the off-season. There is no one there, just sea and sand. My husband windsurfs and I paint. The ocean is a difficult model. It is constantly in motion, constantly changing. It is awe inspiring and an amazing challenge to paint. Will we humans continue the pollution of this vital part of our planet? My little watercolors try to capture the beauty of the ocean even as parts of it are dying.
