Bio & Statement
Sharon Denise Wise is a visual and performing Artist from the Midwest. Using fiber, textiles, paint and fabric found in the waste stream, she's protects our planet by producing amazing art. She holds a Master's Degree and is a Trauma Expert. Her film "Letter to Niyyah" won a gold medal in the 2018 AADY Awards. She organizes art workshops, puts on plays and other activities that helps people resolved their trauma and life experience. She's won major awards for her work both nationally and internationally. Sharon resides in Washington DC.
Sharon Wise was an Artist child and her vibrant colors tell a story that was filled with homelessness and abuse. At a young age she began running away from home and found herself living under a bridge. Now an award winning film writer and motivation speaker she travels the world sharing "Healing Trauma Through The Use of Art" so that others can heal using repurposed items and lived experience.
