BIO

Hui Tian lives and works in New Jersey. He attended the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in Guangzhou, China. He taught painting at Hubei Academy of Fine Arts before moving to New York where he studied at Brooklyn College. In 2022 Hui received the First Place Award from the San Diego Museum of Art.

ARTIST STATEMENT

I stand that contemporary art is not only about aesthetics, but more importantly about the artist responding to the problems of his times. We are living in an age of global crisis, social crisis, and pandemic times. My art is the shout and cry of my soul in this special time.
